Agricultural tractors are categorized according to power, size and use, and can be divided into five types overall.!

Wheeled tractor: Wheeled tractors have four (or more than four) rubber wheels and are categorized into two forms: 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive. They are suitable for dryland farming, sowing and harvesting operations, and can also be used for loading goods for transportation. Wheeled tractors are more popular in China, and are especially suitable for large-area farmland production.

Crawler tractor: crawler tractor is supported on the ground by a coiled loop track, with the advantages of good traction adhesion, large single machine traction, strong cross-country performance, etc. It is suitable for working on wet, sticky land, but not for transportation operations.

Walking tractor: walking tractor is small and flexible, suitable for cultivation and transportation of terraces and small fields. There are three types of walk-behind tractors: drive-type, traction-type and integrated-type, which are suitable for different operational needs.

Disc tractor: disc tractor adopts steering wheel driving, generally large and medium-sized tractors are disc, with convenient operation, flexible, reliable, comfortable and other advantages.

Boat tractor: boat tractor, also known as machine-plowing boat, combines plowing machinery and boat hull, suitable for plowing in deep soft mud layer paddy fields in the southern region, with high throughput and work efficiency.

In addition, agricultural tractors can be categorized by power into large, medium, and small. Most agricultural operations use small and medium-power tractors because these units are usually smaller in size and have smaller plot sizes.
